Hey, I'm Taskeen Limalia, a Creative Director originally from South Africa, now navigating the creative scene in New York City. My journey in advertising kicked off 11 years ago at the Vega School of Creativity in South Africa. With a passion for experiencing life from different angles, travel has always been a top priority for me. Fortunately, my professional escapades have taken me through bustling cities in South Africa, Europe, the Middle East and now, North America allowing me to collaborate with some of the brightest minds, agencies, and brands along the way. Life's a journey, and I'm loving every twist and turn. ✨🌍
For me, the magic of this industry lies in the belief that audacious ideas can reshape our world. Everyday, I channel this belief into crafting purpose-driven campaigns, earning me accolades like Cannes Lions, Clios, D&AD, and more. In 2019, I was placed as the #3 spot for Art Director in the Middle East and North Africa by the B&W report. Highlights? Featuring the Zero Tolerance Ribbon at the UN, leading a blood donation record in Lebanon, sparking talks on gender equality, and winning 3 D&AD pencils for a refugee awareness campaign crafted on a $500 budget. Oh, and yes, I once devoured 50 Ferrero Rocher's on a single-day shoot – not my prettiest moment!
